Rachael’s Wedding Weekend
So this weekend, I went to Houston for Rachael and Nate's wedding. I first met Rachael because she works with my industry BFF Gayla Bentley. Rachael, Gayla and I dished about Rachael's wedding about a year ago when she got engaged and when she told me Old Hollywood glamour wedding, I thought I am sooooooooooooo there. And the wedding definitely lived up to the expectations of an over the top black tie Old Hollywood Texas wedding. I was especially happy because this was the perfect occassion to whip out my "Lolita" Zebra gown! I also got a chance to hang with Gayla, Rachael, and Rachael & Nate's great family as well as Jaclyn and Erin from the Voluptuous Vixen boutique in New Orleans. BTW, if you ever get to the N.O., make sure you check out their boutique, they carry Monif C. and have one of the best selections of fabulous plus size clothing hands down. Check out pics of the rehearsal dinner and wedding below! I came back to NYC and with all this snow and brick cold conditions, I really wish I was back in Houston...grrrrrrr...

The happy couple!

This is the cake topper they had for Nate's bachelor party cake! Love it!

Did you see the H.E.L.P on the bottom of his shoes? LOL

Wedding pics!

We sat at the Cary Grant table...yes DAHLING...

Hi Elizabeth!

Erin wore the "Marilyn" Long Convertible Dress in Purple and looked FAB!

I love the wedding cake and all the rhinestones. The groom's cake was delicious!

I took a pic of my shoes to prove to Brandon that I did indeed wear these heels even though they weren't comfy. Anything for beauty I guess...but as you can see they sure as heck were not on my feet by the end of that reception, too much dancing for these!

Hi, I am a young, beautiful, plus sized woman and I live in Cleveland, Ohio. Where can I find these clothes?! I need them! I’ve been searching long and hard for colorful, sexy clothing that accentuates my curves. I’m tired of having to hide them! I enjoyed all of the wedding pictures. How beautiful! I am planning on getting hitched sooner or later myself. Take care. Hope to hear some good news soon. :)

@Hillerie, you know I’ve been dying for an occassion to wear that dress, so this was perfect for it.
@Jonell, you can order online at http://www.monifc.com, or call 212.842.1641 to order by phone. If you ever get to NYC also, you can stop into our New York Boutique, 325 W. 38th Street, Suite 1007, NYC 10018

hi monif. i absolutely love your dresses. i remember when i was looking for a prom dress and was in tears because i couldnt find one. i made up my mind and said i wasnt going to go—that decision would have ended up losing me almost $500 (prom tickets, car rental, hotel ) then i came across your website and my jaw dropped! i fell in love. the dresses you had were EVERYTHING i was looking for and i didnt hesistate to come here for my graduation dress also. Thanks so much for having this website for the plus size faboulous world. you are truely a life saver. but i do have a question——where do you shop on the regular? and would you ever start designing casual clothes—jeans, t-shirts?

Hi Jazmin :waving:! You never sent me pics from prom, can you send them to monif (at) monifc.com? As for casual clothes, honestly, I wear Monif C. clothing on a daily basis, so that’s my casual, believe it or not…A typical outfit for me is a “Marilyn” Convertible Dress wrapped as a top, leggins, and over the knee boots. Casual clothes, ie. jeans/tshirts are not my thing, but we may eventually expand and bring those things in. Hope to see you and your mom soon in the store!
